The Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics (Sosek), Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), welcomes the participation of eight students from the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) program in its Social Psychology course during the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. This participation represents an international learning experience within the Department’s academic environment.
The eight students come from three universities in Japan and South Korea. Two students are from Gyeongsang National University (GNU), South Korea, while the other six are from Japan: one student from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) and five students from Ibaraki University. The Social Psychology course is taught by Dr. Dyah Woro Untari, S.P., M.P.
As part of the course, students participate in various learning activities, including presentations and group discussions. These activities provide opportunities for students to engage actively in the learning process and exchange perspectives. In addition to the AIMS participants, one student from UGM’s Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics is also enrolled in the course, allowing students from different academic and national backgrounds to interact in the classroom.
The participation of international students in this course reflects the Department’s involvement in fostering a learning environment that welcomes cross-cultural experiences and perspectives. Through shared academic activities, students have opportunities to broaden their learning experiences and interact with peers from different universities and countries.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality education, through learning opportunities in higher education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals, through connections among higher education institutions in the context of international student mobility.
