The Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period I of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. This event marked a significant milestone as a moment of appreciation and celebration for students who have successfully completed their master’s studies at UGM.
The ceremony took place in two venues. The main graduation procession of Universitas Gadjah Mada was held at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) from 07.00 to 12.00 WIB, attended by graduates from various faculties across UGM. The event then continued at the Faculty of Agriculture, held at the Hardjono Danoesastro Auditorium from 13.00 to 15.00 WIB, where diplomas and certificates were formally presented to the postgraduate graduates.
Prior to the main university ceremony, the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics organized a farewell event on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the MMA North Wing Classroom. The event was attended by department executives, lecturers, and graduates. The agenda included the calling of graduates, welcoming remarks from department representatives, and a speech by Dea Monica Efendi from the Master of Agricultural Economics program, who represented the graduates. The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo session.
In this period, a total of 22 graduates from the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics took part in the graduation ceremony, consisting of 7 graduates from the Master of Agricultural Economics (MEP) program and 15 graduates from the Master of Agribusiness Management (MMA) program. Out of the total, 20 graduates achieved the Cum Laude distinction, while 2 graduates earned the predicate of Very Satisfactory. This remarkable result reflects the students’ dedication and commitment to academic excellence throughout their studies.

The best graduate of the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics for this period was Dea Monica Efendi, M.Sc., from the Master of Agricultural Economics program. She achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00 with a study duration of 1 year, 11 months, and 16 days. Dea was also part of the fast-track program, and her outstanding achievement serves as an inspiration for other students to pursue academic and professional excellence.

The graduation ceremony served not only as a formal academic procession but also as a meaningful celebration of the department’s commitment to producing competent and ethical graduates in the field of agricultural socio-economics.
