
Yogyakarta – The Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics (Sosek), Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), proudly participated in the Graduation Ceremony for Bachelor’s Degree Period IV of the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Thursday, August 28, 2025. This ceremonial event served as a significant moment to honor the academic achievements of graduating students, marking the culmination of their university journey and the beginning of their professional contributions. The ceremony, held from 07:00 to 15:00 WIB, was divided into two sessions. The first session took place at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) UGM, attended by all bachelor’s degree graduates from various faculties. The second session continued at the Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture, UGM, as an internal event involving faculty members, staff, and graduates’ families, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere.
A total of 54 students from the Department of Sosek successfully graduated in this period, representing two study programs: Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (EPA) and Agricultural Extension and Communication (PKP). Of these, 50 graduates earned the cum laude predicate, while the remaining 4 achieved the very satisfactory predicate. Below is the list of graduates from each study program:

The ceremony was highlighted by remarkable achievements. Nazla Amanda Kamila, S.P., from the EPA program, was named the best graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3,98, nearly perfect. Arsya Pradhipta Nuryan Siwi, S.P., from the PKP program, was recognized as the best graduate of the Department of Sosek with a CGPA of 3,95. Additionally, Kyla Chandrika Perwitasari, S.P., from the EPA program, was honored as the youngest graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture at the age of 20 years, 11 months, and 6 days. These accomplishments reflect the students’ dedication and the high-quality education provided by the Department of Sosek.
The graduation ceremony proceeded smoothly, serving as a joyful conclusion to the graduates’ academic journey and the starting point for their contributions to society. The Department of Sosek extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and hopes that the knowledge they have gained will bring widespread benefits in the future.
This event aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First, SDG 4: Quality Education, as it highlights the provision of inclusive, high-quality higher education that equips graduates to become agents of change. Second, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, given the Department of Sosek’s focus on agricultural socioeconomics, which supports food security and sustainable agriculture. Third, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through the development of competent graduates ready to contribute to inclusive economic growth in the agricultural sector.
