
The Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics (Sosek), Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), proudly celebrated the achievements of its postgraduate students during the Graduation Ceremony held on Tuesday, April 23, 2025. The event took place solemnly at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP) UGM from 07:00 to 11:00 WIB, where graduates received their diplomas directly from their respective faculty deans.
Following the main ceremony at GSP, the event continued at the Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture. At this venue, the graduates received their academic transcripts as a record of their academic achievements. In addition, several awards were presented to outstanding students, including honors for the best graduate of the faculty, the best graduate of each department, and the fastest graduate.
In this graduation period, the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics successfully graduated 12 students, consisting of 3 graduates from the Master of Agricultural Economics (MEP) program and 9 graduates from the Master of Agribusiness Management (MMA) program. Of these, 7 graduates were awarded the cum laude (with honors) distinction, showcasing remarkable academic performance. The names of the graduates are Ridwan Asrul Najib, M.Sc., Ahmad Mushofa, M.Sc., Dina Mariana Simanjuntak, M.Sc., Bayu Candra Wibowo, M.Sc., Aprila Saffana, M.Sc., Elisabeth Yulianti Pratama, M.Sc., Azhar Irfana Gangsar, M.Sc., Dani Setiadi Saputra, M.Sc., Achmad Rifa’i, M.Sc., Annisa Ainurrahma, M.Sc., Krismiyati, M.Sc., and Andhini Siti Fatiha, M.Sc.
A special recognition was awarded to Andhini Siti Fatiha from the Master of Agribusiness Management program, who was named the Best Graduate of the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics. She achieved an impressive Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.98 with a study period of 1 year, 11 months, and 18 days. This achievement reflects the Department’s strong commitment to providing high-quality and competitive postgraduate education.
This Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony is also closely aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely: SDG 4 (Quality Education), through the effort to produce highly competent graduates; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by preparing professional human resources ready to compete in the workforce and contribute to the growth of agribusiness and agricultural economics sectors; and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), as reflected in the active participation and outstanding achievements of both male and female graduates without any discrimination. Through this success, the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics, UGM, continues to contribute to shaping excellent human resources capable of making positive changes at both national and global levels.
