The Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics Graduates 29 Students in the Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period I of the 2024/2025 Academic Year

Yogyakarta, November 20, 2024 – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully held the Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony for Period I of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, marking a significant milestone for students who have completed their undergraduate education. The ceremony was conducted with great warmth and joy, celebrating the achievements of the graduates.

For the Faculty of Agriculture, the graduation took place at two main venues. The first session was held at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP), where graduates received their diplomas from the faculty dean. The ceremony continued at the Harjono Danoesastro Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture, where graduates were presented with their academic transcripts, completing the graduation process.

This period, the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics (Sosek) proudly graduated 29 students from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program and the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program. The Department’s Best Graduate was awarded to Adisa Resti Gestasani, S.P., who achieved an impressive GPA of 3.87 from the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program. Her accomplishment reflects the dedication, perseverance, and excellence fostered by the department.

The graduation ceremony was filled with enthusiasm and heartfelt emotions, as families, friends, and loved ones gathered to support and congratulate the graduates. The joyous atmosphere highlighted the significance of this moment in the graduates’ academic journey.

This event also aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

  • SDG 4: Quality Education, as UGM continues its commitment to providing excellent education and producing highly competent graduates.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, as graduates are expected to become professionals contributing to economic development and creating job opportunities.
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by offering quality education to individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equal opportunities for all.

The Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics extends its heartfelt congratulations to the graduates.
