Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) proudly announces the extraordinary achievements of one of its students, Nabilla Putri Manusakerti, and her team, PRtulation. The team consisting of Nabilla Putri Manusakerti (Agricultural Extension and Communication 2022), Muhammad Haldis Maheswara Thohari (Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences 2022), and Ike Meliyasari (Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences 2022) won 2nd Place in OlymPRDay at the Epicentrum 2024 event organized by Padjadjaran University.
EPICENTRUM is a prestigious annual event held by Padjadjaran University, featuring various communication competitions. One of the main competitions is OlymPRDay, a Public Relations-based strategic campaign preparation competition to fight plagiarism in higher education. This year, OlymPRDay collaborates with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (KEMDIKBUDRISTEK) and the National Research Agency (BRIN).
Driven by their passion for Public Relations and communications, Nabilla and her team seized the opportunity to participate in EPICENTRUM. This platform allowed them to apply their knowledge on a national scale. Their journey began with the submission of an essay, which earned them a spot among the top seven finalists out of 40 teams from leading universities across Indonesia.
In the final stage, the PRtulation team had to present a situation analysis and problem statement in front of a panel of judges from KEMDIKBUDRISTEK, BRIN, Founder of the Open Source Foundation, and lecturers at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University. Next, they prepared a campaign proposal with the theme “Cope with Copy,” which aims to reduce the rate of plagiarism at UGM.
After the final presentation in front of the jury and other participants, the PRtulation Team was surprised and grateful when they were announced as 2nd Place. They did not expect to be able to beat the other teams, who also displayed extraordinary campaigns. This success results from their hard work and dedication in crafting and presenting the campaign.
The Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics is immensely proud of Nabilla and her team for their outstanding achievement. We believe that their success will serve as a beacon of inspiration for other students, encouraging them to pursue excellence and make positive contributions to society and the nation. Heartiest congratulations to Nabilla and the PRtulation Team on this remarkable feat. May your journey be filled with continued success!
