On May 22, 2024, Gadjah Mada University held the Period III Undergraduate Program Graduation for the 2023-2024 Academic Year with great fanfare. This event began with a university-level graduation procession, which was held simultaneously at the Grha Sabha Pramana Building, Gadjah Mada University. Next, the procession to send off faculty-level graduates was held at the Hardjono Danoesastro Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture, UGM.
During this period, the Faculty of Agriculture graduated 96 male and female graduates from 9 undergraduate programs. The Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics (Sosek) also contributed by graduating 19 graduates from the Agricultural Extension and Communication Study Program and 17 from the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program.
The graduates from the Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics have achieved remarkable feats. Three of our graduates, Salsabila Aulia Rahmadani, Sania Sita Devi, and Rizky Muhammad Aji Saputra, have earned the distinction of being the fastest graduates in the Faculty of Agriculture. They completed their undergraduate education in a record time of 3 years, 4 months, and 17 days, a testament to their dedication and hard work.
Salsabila Aulia Rahmadani, who graduated from the 2020 Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program, emerged as the Best Graduate of the Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics with a GPA of 3.93. Salsabila is also a fast-track program student who graduated during this period, showing extraordinary dedication and hard work.
Another outstanding achievement was made by Sania Sita Devi, a student from the 2020 Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Study Program. She was recognized as the best graduate of the agricultural faculty, attaining a GPA of 3.95. This accomplishment underscores the quality of education and guidance provided by the UGM Faculty of Agriculture, particularly the Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics.
The achievements achieved by these graduates are not only proud of the faculty and university but also contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The quality education provided by UGM helps produce a young generation ready to contribute to sustainable development in the socio-economic field of agriculture.
We have high hopes for these graduates to continue their personal and professional growth and to make significant contributions to society. Congratulations to all the graduates, and may success always be within your reach. Together, let’s advance and sustain agriculture for a better future.
